Proteus is the first of a new class of vessels, the Wam-V, wave -adaptive modular vessels. Minimally invasive of the environment, rather than crashing through waves it truly rides the waves thanks to its flexible hulls. Ugo and Isabella Conti, two Italian scientists emigrated to California a long time ago have launched it.
